Who’s winning?
If you can’t see me, I don’t want to be found,
I alone created this war, the human race will finish the rest,
In the depths of ones mind it’s easy to drown,
I am not a scapegoat, nor the one to hound,
Underneath the cover of guilt, I blend in like the rest,
If you can’t see me, I don’t want to be found
Day to night to day, the world spins around,
We continue to think we know it all, and that we are the best
In the depths of ones mind it’s easy to drown,
Matter, volume, elements, and life all in one mound,
We were given this planet, a gift that we now infest
If you can’t see me, I don’t want to be found
They all have their own way, and it changes seemingly without sound,
As for us, we have used 3 branches to craft our nest,
In the depths of ones mind it’s easy to drown,
When we are gone, a new species will be crowned,
But, I hope they know they are but a guest,
If you can’t see me, I don’t want to be found,
In the depths of ones mind it’s easy to drown.

Life After Death
HEADLINE: Man's coffin kills wife on way to cemetery
When I saw this clickable headline, I felt I had to read this story, it seemed there was so much that lie within this short news article.
As we all know, no matter who we are, where we live, or what our name is, we all will have our end one day, and this is not to make a point of sorrow or to cry wolf about how everybody dies, but to bring fourth ideas of how people live and what they live for. While reading this article you learn that this married couple had lived in Brazil, presumably for their entire life, you could say that they had simple lives just like most other people of the world, work, support your family ect, and while not much information, you could assume much of their life. You could also say that they have been married for a long time, and were truely in love with eachother.
Roughly 5 years ago my elder neighbors passed away, I had known them ever since I can remember. The woman passed of pancreatic cancer, and within two weeks of that, the man passed. You never saw him after his wifes death, his family did, but the neighborhood rarely saw him. He wasnt sick, we know he couldnt eat, he couldnt sleep, and after his death, we all believe he had passed of a broken heart. He wasnt himslef after her death, I did see him once, he looked lifeless, he sat in a wheel chair, a sight i had never seen as he was a stong old man who kept up with the housework. His tone was as lifeless as his body, he barely made eye contact with me, he was weak, almost dead.
As you can see, and whether you believe in destiny or not, i believe it was thier destiny, whether it was chosen by him, or by something else, to live eternally in life, and after. Now this is a broad statement, but after I read this article I immediatly thought of my neighbors. It may be true that it was the mans own will that allowed him to die, but in this artcle the anonymous woman had no will for that, there was an accident, the coffin slammed into her, and she died, Now you could believe that it was they're destiny, or you could believe that this was just a freak accident, crazier things have happend.

My Generation
Is filled with needs and not necessities, and this is within our own people, everyone needs something, and needs to be cared for, needs things given to them, apparently hard work wont get you anywhere anymore. I still believe in a work ethic as it has been instilled within me since i was a child. The day work ethic is gone is the day the people fall and the government rises to the top and our say is gone.
Why dont you all f-fade away.
Why dont you all f-fade away.

Rescue The States

There’s no time to thank the living
For their thoughts, prayers, and giving
So I like to thank the dead
And all their thoughts that fill my head
For they are here as well as I
Behind closed doors with open eyes
So when you all jolt awake
Your hopes and dreams will be at stake
The best legacies come about after you have ceased to exist in human form, and all that is left is your thoughts and what you believed in. That is when you can truely appreciate someone or something.

Poem
Pen to paper, heart to mind
a constellation i know to be mine,
somewhere, a place that everything comes together,
a crumpled sheet of paper, or in my mind forever,
the ink of the pen means nothing,
without my mind fueled by something.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,
without words its all one big mess,
please give sight to these ideas,
with symbnols all leading to cytherea.
Letters wield words and meaning,
as eighteen things send me careening,
and despite my hearts warming tone,
there lies a firery rose,
burning alone.
a constellation i know to be mine,
somewhere, a place that everything comes together,
a crumpled sheet of paper, or in my mind forever,
the ink of the pen means nothing,
without my mind fueled by something.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,
without words its all one big mess,
please give sight to these ideas,
with symbnols all leading to cytherea.
Letters wield words and meaning,
as eighteen things send me careening,
and despite my hearts warming tone,
there lies a firery rose,
burning alone.

Can it all be so simple?
Think.

It seems the only thing that has sparked these new "norms" is the mere desire for change. Everyone wants to be better, they all want to feel better and they will do incredibly stupid things to get there. The age old factors as always are there, greed, guilt, envy, etc, and they still fuel what will always come. But, what happend? Why does everyone want to be a player? Why does everyone want to be something they arnt? All of these norms and styles came from one person most of the time, they were being themselves and it just exploded into something anyone whos anybody had to be.
Now i never recall living in another time period, but anything is possible in this world. But i know things change alot, and i hear alot of how things used to be from older relatives and all that.
You know, men worked, women made the home, behind every good man is an amzing woman, my grandpa bought his first car for 33 dollars.Yet there very well could have been problems lying in the past, but our world today seems to have more than ever. Everything is an issue out there, abortion, gays, racial justice, womens rights, immigrants, i could go on forever. But could the "good old days" have been that much more simple? Or was everyone on the downlow about the same pressing issues going on in the nation today. Is the problem our nation just coming outright with everything in the open, how far can we push society, maybe one day the religious morals keeping minor restraints on us will be replaced, for better or worse. Why cant it all be so simple?

The World Is Filled...

If we can learn anything about the way the world works, it should be the fact that everything happens in cycles, even something that is man made like the economy, which works in cycles of prosperity, recession, and depression. A society of anything, humans, animals, insecets, any community species thrives until its resources dwindle and they become too large for theyre own good. Its basic instinct, a surplus of resources causes a spike in growth, its only natural. That growth will keep growing until it is forced to stop by the ways of the world. Supplies are not infinite, thats why if we can get through this crisis and begin to depend on another engergy source, then the cycle could skip a step before its too late and the weak die off.
However if we begin to depend on a green energy source, such as wind/water/sun or any combination of them, then it seems they could last as long as either of them exist. we could defeat our own purpose, defy the laws of the world with our intelligence, which however would kill us in the end in result of some other catastrophe waiting to happen. The fact is that we are too smart for our own good, we are having our run and it will be good times and bad. But the bottom line is, we cannot win.

Second Hand Smoke

Be careful who u listen to, you might just change your opinion. Meaning your decision will stray from educated indecision to a hussled idea with precision. I used to believe what the punks told me, kill cops, flunk school, be nobodies fool, but how can these thoughts truely possess my soul, see?
i get a little moody with the rudies, my hair didnt shed for the skin heads, still had my own friends, the ones that extend a hand when its too hard to stand, though most of the time they'll be down there with you, outside the convienience store at 2 in the morning with nothing to do, the hours send you slurring, and talking to girls that are curvey, taking in all thats in new jersey.
i feel bad that fashion is passion for those that are lost, caught up in how much it all cost, and our crew is out there where there is no need to fight to the death, just a group of guys in hoodies goin out to catch some breath. in these streets, free from contamination, out of the house getting deloused from those that wanna pollute our minds. Sometimes were stuck in rewind, wondering why, how and when, knowing your gonna remember these times with your friends, when the end is sooner than later, live life, educate yourself, be the creator.

World Over

The main reason I like books is because they are as close to real life as you can get. With movies you have to present to mass appeal in order to make a profit, so the stories have to be a certain way, and most often everything has to do with the ending. just about everything on the screens now adays ends with the family coming together, or the guy getting the girl vice versa, etc. There is no disappointment that we come in contact with in real life all to often.
It is like our world is over in this life and we have to live through a fantasy that someone else creates, such as movies or even as local as music scenes. Where groups of kids come together over music, and thats it. Too bad it isnt even about the music, its not even about thier minds, its about image, and the money to create that image. If your not one of them, then your out, you're no one. All it takes is one glance and they know, it doesnt matter what music u actually listen to, or the fact that you may have sang along with them and purchased drinks to pass around with your band of brothers. You may have thought it was a bond that would never break, and you may hate the shear irony and hipocracy that lies with growing up in these times. But after all of this, when reality finally sets in, and just maybe, if you are lucky, you will emerge with the friends you truely know.
A constant battle that i'll never win,
the sooner it stops the sooner it begins.

Four Minutes and Thirty-Three Seconds

4'33 is a musical composition written by John Cage in 1948. This peice it traditionally performed by a pianist, however it can be adapted to any instrument or lack there of. It contains three movements and is focused on the individual listener in the audience.
The performer walks onto the stage, sits at the piano, (in this case its a piano.) and remains there silent for 4 minutes and 33 seconds. The audience member ideally will sit there and listen to the sounds around them, any of these sounds may or may not resemble music, but they will certainly fall into a certain portion of the piece.
Listening to this peice can allow one to reflect on them self, or fall into their surroundings, they may even become part of the composition.
Since my sophmore year in highschool I have been a firm believer in thinking every day. Take a few minutes each day to reflect and just think, This peice may help anyone.
The Influence for this work is Zen Buddism, and this composition was included in the National Public Radio's "The 100 most important American musical works of the 20th century."

Lost In The Supermarket
In reference to George Washington:
"In his Farewell Address, he urged his countrymen to forswear excessive party spirit and geographical distinctions."

It's cool to vote democrat, and a deathwish to vote republican, its time for change isnt it? No wait, I remember it's ignorant to vote democrat, and an educated move to vote republican, after all, they really are doing theyre best.
Then again, it all depends right? are you conservative, are u liberal? Do you support this war? Well, who are your parents voting for? Who are your friends voting for? Eric, you dont really thing obama can promise all of this change and deliver upon it do you? Eric, you dont believe in all of this corruption, you know the Bush administration is evil dont you? Eric, i know you'll make the right decision.
You have to get your own sources, but be careful. This source is conservative, and wait, this source is liberal. I hear this from this person or that person, but I dont know if I cant believe them, after all they are part of this or that political party. ...Right now there is enough going on in this country to give you a headache ten times over, and although everyone knows this election will end, and we will have a new president. There are alot of people who are lost, and alot of those people dont even know they are lost. After all this wouldnt be America if we didnt listen to the media right? They tell us the truth...to an extent, they tell us whats going on...most of the time, and they always know whats going on with the celebrities.
For the love of your country, and future, please educate yourself on this election, no one is going to do it for you, i dont care who you vote for just know why your voting for that person, and remember what Washington said:
(once again)
