The main reason I like books is because they are as close to real life as you can get. With movies you have to present to mass appeal in order to make a profit, so the stories have to be a certain way, and most often everything has to do with the ending. just about everything on the screens now adays ends with the family coming together, or the guy getting the girl vice versa, etc. There is no disappointment that we come in contact with in real life all to often.
It is like our world is over in this life and we have to live through a fantasy that someone else creates, such as movies or even as local as music scenes. Where groups of kids come together over music, and thats it. Too bad it isnt even about the music, its not even about thier minds, its about image, and the money to create that image. If your not one of them, then your out, you're no one. All it takes is one glance and they know, it doesnt matter what music u actually listen to, or the fact that you may have sang along with them and purchased drinks to pass around with your band of brothers. You may have thought it was a bond that would never break, and you may hate the shear irony and hipocracy that lies with growing up in these times. But after all of this, when reality finally sets in, and just maybe, if you are lucky, you will emerge with the friends you truely know.
A constant battle that i'll never win,
the sooner it stops the sooner it begins.
